Busy Bees is a private, English-speaking Montessori preschool located south of Munich in the Starnberg area. The school offers two programs: the Toddler Program (ages two and three) and the Preschool Program (ages three to six and potty-trained). Childcare begins as early as 8:00 a.m. for both groups. Aftercare from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. is only available for preschool students. Tuition ranges from 300-600 euros per month.

Established in 2002, the English Learning Center in Neufahrn (north of Munich, A92/A99) has a nursery school for children aged eighteen months to five years and various other Early Learning programs for children aged from three months up to teenagers. The afternoon lessons offer additional language practice, which closely follow Helen Doron principles, as well as Spanish lessons and adult classes. The nursery school program is based on the international early childhood education and boasts three groups, each offering different days for childcare.

This English-language pre-school helps develop a child's English skills in classes starting at age 2. The Fun English Language Centre's "work-play" method focuses on school readiness skills with hands-on activities. In addition, children learn writing skills and number readiness. There are a variety of morning and afternoon classes from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., as well as mother-child classes for children aged 6 months and above. It is also possible to organize a trial day.

Launched in 2004, this bilingual (German/English) kindergarten caters to children aged three to six. As a parent initiative, the kindergarten offers an attractive framework for parents wishing to be actively involved in their child's development. The school currently teaches two groups of about 25 children, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Fees range from 88 euros to 142 euros a month, depending upon the length of supervision.

This non-profit, bilingual preschool is open to children aged three to six. The school offers an early-immersion bilingual language program in both English and German, and also provides access to the Montessori principles of learning. The classroom of 25 students is led by three teachers and one assistant. The school is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and follows the Bavarian school calendar. Tuition is 790 euros per month, and there is a 500 euro half-year payment required for lunch.

The Lerchennest was founded in 1994 as a parents’ initiative and currently offers places for 70 children. (One and a half years to six and a half years.) Core classes are from 8:30 a.m. until 1.00 p.m. Parents have the option of early morning drop off (7:30 a.m.) as well as an afternoon program (until 4:00 p.m., lunch included) Within each group, children are co-taught by native German and English speaking professional educators. Fees ranges from 50 euros to 200 euros per month.

Three Bears is an English preschool in Garching that offers private day care from 8:00 am. to 14:00 p.m. and a variety of courses from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The staff is led by Leonie Krieger, a New Zealand-born primary school teacher. The structured groups are for children aged two to nine years old and emphasize pre-reading skills, social development and communication skills.
