International Kids Campus

This bilingual day-school opened in 2007, offering classes for children aged two and a half to six. The curriculum stresses bilingualism and an international approach. There are a maximum of 22 students per class, and each class is staffed by a native English and native Germanspeaker. The school has three different schedules: from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or to 4:30 p.m. or 6:15 p.m. The full-day option (from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) costs 9,018 euros annually.

Little Giants Early Learning Center

The Little Giants Early Learning Center in Munich opened its doors for the first time in early 2008. This centrally located, bilingual (German/English) daycare center caters to children aged eights weeks to 36 months. Privately operated, Little Giants first opened an education center in Stuttgart in 2006 and recently opened new centers in Frankfurt and Nuremberg as well. The Munich center is open Monday through Friday from 7:35 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Longer hours are available upon request and for an extra charge. Monthly tuition is 790 euros for children aged six months to one year and 720 euros for children aged one to three. There is also an enrollment fee of 320 euros and an annual registration fee of 120 euros.

Mouse e.V.

The parent initiative ‘MOUSE – Montessori Children House Schwabing’ is a full-day, bilingual (German/English) nursery. Two Montessori teachers and one Montessori assistant care for a total of 15 children starting at age two. Typical tasks for parents include organizing events with the teachers, bricolage and laundry. Parent involvement is imperative for the smooth running of the nursery school. The school is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Fridays.

Munich Mommies and Munchkins

Munich Mommies & Munchkins is an international group for mothers, fathers and nannies living in or around the city of Munich. It offers playgroups in English on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. for young ones up to the age of three accompanied by a parent or nanny. Playgroups meet at the TSV sport hall in Milbertshofen (Hans-Denziger-Strasse 2). Mondays emphasize music and creativity. Thursdays emphasize music and movement. The first session is free and the rest are moderately priced, with a one-time membership fee of 35 euros.

Treehouse e.V.

Treehouse e.V. is an English-German daycare center and Kindergarten located in Schwabing. The parent initiative offers a bilingual curriculum and education influenced by the Montessori principle. Children between 18 months and six years of age learn and play in small groups in a child-oriented environment. The teachers are experienced American and German native speakers. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monthly fees: 290 euros plus 100 euros for catering, supplies and cleaning.

Our Featured Event

The 2019 Newcomers Festival will be held on Sunday 8 Sept. at Frankfurt’s City Hall (Römer). This annual event attracts over 5,000 international visitors, up to 60 exhibitors (companies, clubs, organizations).
