The English Montessori Preschool, licensed by the Bavarian government, was founded in 1983. The school is located in a charming, historically protected building. All three classrooms have a child-to-teacher ratio of 15 to 2 and a dynamic Montessori curriculum. The preschool is open to children of every nationality, aged two and a half to six. The school follows the Bavarian school calendar. School sessions are: morning session 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., afternoon session 12:00 p.m. to 16:30 p.m. There are two full-day sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 16:30 p.m.

Kibiku is a bilingual daycare and preschool for children from the ages of six months to six years. Its three locations in Munich-Laim, Munich-Karlsfeld and Munich-Steinhausen are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Full-time care, consisting of eight to nine hours a day and five days per week, costs around 600 euros per month. Shorter and longer care options are available.

Kinderhouse Hort is a bilingual after-school program created through a parent initiative and designed for about 20 children aged six to 12. The facility is open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is open during part of the school holidays. Parents are expected to help run the center and contribute actively on a regular basis. The monthly fee is 175 euros. An additional 60 euros is required for food and there is an annual membership fee of 50 euros.

The Rainbow Preschool e.V. was launched in 2000 as a parent initiative and currently has 24 children enrolled. Opening hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. everyday, and the preschool follows the Montessori curriculum with three qualified AMI teachers. Tuition is 270 euros per month and there is a 180 euro one-time registration fee.
