Connoisseurs around the world enjoy whisky from Scotland and the number of followers is constantly growing. But not all whiskies are the same and the variations are countless. So what makes the taste? Is it a matter of production, age, the climate or the casks used for maturing? And why are angels in Scotland so happy? The answers to your questions and six liquid examples will guide you on a whisky tasting journey on Monday 15 March at the English Theatre. Tickets cost 39 euro. Click here to register.

"The IMF surely won′t mind if one currency, the euro, solves its problems internally, as many other currencies do," Merkel said.

It′s unlikely that anyone would confuse the Bavarian town of Oberammergau with the lot of a Hollywood film studio. But still, as the May 15 kick-off for this year′s Passion Play creeps closer, a visitor can sense the buzz in the air. Rarely a night goes by without some choral or dramatic rehearsal. And with 2,200 residents involved - almost half of the town′s population - that equals a lot of hustle and bustle.
Im Herzen Afrikas is a completely different dining experience. Fine clothes and high heels are not recommended, since the seats are low and the floor covered with fine sand. The ambience is nice and friendly with soft music and unusual furniture... - Halin
