Perhaps one of the strangest named bar / restaurants ever, it stems not from a literal German to English translation, but rather is the title of a 1994 Ang Lee movie involving, oddly enough a famous Asian chef and his 3 daughters. EDMW is a fine example of fusion food, showcasing Asian dishes with a modern day touch up incorporating influences from other cultures and cuisines. EDMW is similar to what you would expect to find in swanky 'Dim Sum' restaurants in London or New York, but thankfully, without the snobby patrons. EDMW also boasts a large and extensive cocktail list with many of the classics plus a few house specials. With modern décor highlighted by a series of large aquariums (curiously lacking many fish on some occasions) the atmosphere is nice, friendly and casual. A great place for dinner with friends, a first date or a drink before hitting the town. |
