I first visited Apfelwein Klaus on my quest to find the perfect Schnitzel-Bratkartoffeln combination, and because they often have 2-4-1 vouchers in the City of Frankfurt tourist guides. Enjoying my first Bembel of Apfelwein and eating delicious food outside on a hot summers day during the World Cup, my ability to be objective might have wavered slightly but i thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Stepping inside the restaurant you are greeted by a traditional beer-hall layout with bench wooden seats etc. Just off the Fressgasse and close to Hauptwache it probably gets more tourists than locals, but if you are fine with hearing a bit of English spoken, the food is worth the visit, although my quest continues.
