DKDL for short, is a restaurant specialized on burgers with a original concept. Having just opened in February 2008 it represents an alternative to McDonald's & the likes. You can get a variety of beef, chicken and veggie burgers. The meat is grilled without fat, using organic quality meat (thus the name). The ingredients seem to be quite fresh and the sauces are homemade. My favourite burgers are the Blue Burger with a mayo-blue cheese sauce and the Barbecue burger (I recommend ordering extra pickles and fresh tomato with the Barbecue burger). There are also 2 vegetarian burgers, including the spicy and aromatic Falafel burger with fresh coriander. While the fries are good, parsnip-crisps and celery-sticks make great alternatives as well as the fresh salads. Desserts are also available including the irresistible Australian/NZ speciality of Pavlova. Children are welcome at DKDL, which is by the way an entirely non-smoking restaurant. I can recommend this place: the food is good, and the place looks hip & modern.
