At first I wasn't sure if we had found the right entrance or not, as the glowing neon signs and red curtains at the entrance look like it might be the entrance to a gentlemen's club. However directly above the Turm Palast (English speaking cinema) is a pleasant relaxing Italian restaurant. Taking over from the old 'Fifth Element' club - the theatre room is yet to be changed - Fabbrica Italiana is a cosy, friendly restaurant for a date or dinner with friends. We both ordered a pizza and were served quickly with a large fresh cooked pizza with huge chunky toppings as if the chef had lost his knife and had to tear apart the peppers and mushrooms by hand. Very filling. There is also a large pasta menu and the plates on other tables looked delicious. Not too pricey and quick attentive service. Check their website for the specials as they had flyers advertising 35% off during lunch and also an all you can eat pizza / pasta buffet.

Walked by this restaurant on the weekend and they are actually closed now for summer holidays. The sign says they will re-open on the 8th of September 2007.
