When I first came to Germany nearly 4 years ago, like a true Brit, I missed my weekly Indian curry. There are actually quite a few curry houses in Frankfurt so I more or less tried them all. Most of them to be honest seemed to taste sweeter than a typical UK one. One place however, the 'Palace of India' on Vilbeler Strasse appeared to be more dry to my taste. I now frequent this house regularly and got to know the owner who is cricket mad and has family in Leicester! Be prepared to pay around 20€ though for Poppadoms, main course with rice, Naan and a beer - but it could compete with the best of Brick Lane in my opinion. |
