I always make it a habit of trying out the local Pizzerias wherever I am living. Sure Pizza Hut and Joeys etc are good for a last minute Pizza in the wee hours of the morning, but nothing beats finding a gem of a pizzeria within crawling distance from your house. Pizzeria Tre Stelle doesn't disappoint. Popular at lunchtime for the near-by office workers from Grüneburgweg, it also has a steady stream of customers in the evening. Nice fresh pizzas, salads and pastas, the food is served quick by the friendly staff. There are two small rooms of tables inside, and several tables out the front during warmer times. Every time I go in there, there seems to be these same three elderly German men ogling a small tv just above the door and discussing the nights football results which are constantly updating on a ticker. Strange but gives the place a bit of charm.
