Schöne Aussicht remarkably transforms itself throughout the day to appeal to all different walks of life. In the early stages it resembles an airy café, with outdoor area and breakfast served until mid-afternoon on weekends. Throughout the day it transforms into an after-work relaxing stopover or meeting point, and then into the evening it becomes a place for pre-clubbing cocktails or late evening drinks. As the name suggests you do get a stunning view of the Main river and Alte Brücke and is sensational in summer. An interesting story as told to me by a friend from Frankfurt, the walls inside may look a little peculiar, but the reasoning behind it is that they were doing renovations and ripped down their wallpaper to uncover cool prints of all the famous buildings in Frankfurt underneath, and so they left it that way.

Directions:

From wherever you are on the city-side of the river, walk towards the river. The bar is on the corner before you head over Alte Brücke to Sachsenhausen.
