The first privately-funded European School is currently under construction in Bad Vilbel and is accepting students for the school year starting in September 2012. Fully authorized by the EU, the new school will initially offer grades 1-9 and will eventually lead to the prestigious European Baccalaureate. The school is building a spacious new campus in Bad Vilbel and plans to eventually accommodate 800 students.
In contrast to the European School Frankfurt, which is primarily for the children of European Central Bank employees, the new school will be open to all students. The school will adhere to the European School curriculum, including the European Baccalaureate/Abitur, which enjoys full recognition both in Germany and all EU-member states. The school also offers full-day schooling, native speaking teachers trained specifically in ES curriculum, and two language tracks (German and English).
The initiator and headmaster of the new school is Tom Zijlstra, who served as head of the Secondary School/Gymnasium at the European School Frankfurt since 2003. The school has been approved by the Board of Governors of European Schools.
The school is located on the outskirts of Bad Vilbel in Dortelweil and neighboring on Frankfurt.

I have checked with website (www.eursc.eu) but I could not find further details of the school.
Does anyone knows more details (e.g. School will provide Open day or information day before May 2011)?
Best regards,
The school is now scheduled to open in 2012. We have updated the entry with details of the website and contact telephone number.
