European School Rhein-Main

Founded in 2012, the European School Rhein-Main (ESRM) is the first privately funded European School. Fully accredited by the EU, the school is located in Bad Vilbel, just outside Frankfurt. The school follows the European School curriculum leading to the European Baccalaureate diploma, which is officially recognized in Germany, all EU member states and beyond. The school is also a German state-recognized "alternative school" (Ersatzschule). ESRM is a full-day school where students are taught by native speakers, specifically trained in the European School curriculum. In 2016, the first generation of 54 students graduated from the European Baccalaureate program with a pass rate of 98.15% and with excellent results. The Baccalaureate class of 2017, with 81 students, achieved a pass rate of 97.53% with equally outstanding results. From pre-primary to grade 12, the school offers two language sections (German and English). Spanish as foreign language 1 and French as foreign language 1 and 2 are offered in all grades leading to the European Baccalaureate. Currently, the school is operating at near full capacity with more than 1,500 students. The school facilities are modern and are designed to cater to the European School curriculum. The school has a 4-field sports hall, and it's one of the largest in Germany. European School Rhein-Main is open to all students and the school fees are moderate.
