European School Rhein-Main

The first privately funded European School RheinMain (ESRM) opened its doors in Bad Vilbel in September 2012. Fully authorized by the EU, the school offers two language tracks (German and English) for Pre-Primary and grades 1-12 and will eventually expand to include the European Baccalaureate in 2016. Currently, about 1200 students are enrolled, but the school campus is designed to accommodate 1400 students. A new Primary School building opened in September 2014, and a four-field sports hall facility is also available. ESRM adheres to the European Schools (ES) curriculum, including the European Baccalaureate/Abitur, which enjoys full recognition in Germany and in all EU-member states and beyond. The school also offers full-day schooling and native speaking teachers trained specifically in ES curriculum. ESRM is approved by the Board of Governors of the European Schools, and the German track is recognized as an "alternative school" (Ersatzschule). It is open to all students, and tuition fees range from 350-1000 euros per month. The European School RheinMain is located on the outskirts of Bad Vilbel, in Dortelweil, which neighbors the city of Frankfurt.
