The Goethe Gymnasium is a traditional German public school, but with a keen international focus. Starting in grade six, students may choose to take part in the English/German bilingual track with courses such as geography, social studies, history and biology are taught entirely in English. The Goethe Gymnasium is the only school in Hessen to offer Japanese as a foreign language starting from grade 8. Students completing their schooling are awarded the German Abitur plus International Baccalaureate (IB) certificates and have the opportunity to take US Advanced Placement exams in a wide range of subjects. Students can also achieve the new EU certificate for excellence in languages (CertiLingua).

Our Featured Event

The 2019 Newcomers Festival will be held on Sunday 8 Sept. at Frankfurt’s City Hall (Römer). This annual event attracts over 5,000 international visitors, up to 60 exhibitors (companies, clubs, organizations).
