ISF Internationale Schule Frankfurt-Rhein-Main was founded in 1995 by the city of Frankfurt, the state of Hessen and several multinational corporations. ISF is a private, full-day school, offering classes from kindergarten (age three) through grade 12. Located in Frankfurt-Sindlingen - within easy reach of stations along the S1 and S2 train lines - the multi-purpose campus features a theater, a semi-Olympic (25 meter) indoor swimming pool, a full running track and tennis courts, in addition to modern music, art, computing, science and academic facilities. Students may travel to school by train or through bus service provided by a number of dedicated companies. As a member of the SABISĀ® School Network, ISF offers a curriculum focused on mathematics, English and German. While the main language of instruction is English, German classes are taught daily to all children (including those in kindergarten), and beginning in grade 6, students choose French or Spanish as a third language of instruction. Native Korean speaker tuition is available from grades 1 through 12. Before and after school, adult supervision is offered as part of ISF's Extended Daycare Programme, available each day at no extra cost to pupils from kindergarten up to grade 6. ISF offers students the following university-qualifying curricula that allow them to enter universities throughout Germany, Europe and the world: the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (grade 12), US Advanced Placement (AP) Exams (grade 12), ISF High School Diploma (grade 12), and the British AS/A-Level Exams (grade 13). The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum is taught in grades 9 and 10. ISF is an accredited member of the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA), the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) and the Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (CASI). Additionally, ISF is a regular member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) and the Association of German International Schools (AGIS). ISF is an International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) World School.
