Frankfurt International School's Wiesbaden Campus opened in 1992 as a branch of Frankfurt International School (FIS). Located in a multi-purpose building next to open countryside in Naurod, about nine kilometers from the center of Wiesbaden, FISW provides excellent indoor and outdoor facilities for learning. The school offers classes for students from age three through grade 7, but will be expanding to grade 8 by 2016. Students can then attend classes on the Oberursel Campus to complete their secondary education. German is taught at all grade levels. The FIS Wiesbaden Campus follows the Primary Years Program of the International Baccalaureate (IB). Homeroom teachers teach all core subjects, while specialists teach art, German, physical education and music. English as a Second Language, learning support, health care and counseling services are also available, as well as a large selection of after-school activities and sports. The school building includes special music and art rooms, an impressive library, state-of-the-art technology and a large, well-equipped gymnasium. The Frankfurt International School Wiesbaden Campus is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
