Metropolitan School Frankfurt (MSF) is a modern, international, non-profit, full-day preschool, primary and secondary school. It offers a comprehensive educational program from early years (children aged 3 to 6) through grade 10 for students of all nationalities. MSF was founded in 2007 and is the only IB World School in the city of Frankfurt to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program from 3 years of age through grade 5. For grades 6 to 10, MSF follows the Cambridge International curriculum with IGCSE exams in grade 10. The school will eventually offer the IB Diploma program for grades 11 and 12 starting in August 2016. Currently, nearly 500 students from 47 countries are enrolled, with plans to eventually accommodate 700 students. The language of instruction is English, taught by native speakers. German is offered for native speakers and also as an additional language for beginners and intermediates. Other additional modern languages include French and Spanish, beginning with grade 6. Primary and secondary students can join extracurricular clubs offering a wide range of activities in arts and sports. MSF also has an Extra Care program for children in the hours before and after school. The facilities include bright and spacious classrooms, science and computer labs, as well as art and music rooms. The new building houses a new cafeteria and dining hall, a large sports and assembly hall, an extensive library, a student cooking studio and further classrooms for the secondary school.
