The Metropolitan School Frankfurt is a mid-sized international all-day preschool, primary school and secondary school teaching the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme as "IB World School" for children three years and older. At the present time, Metropolitan provides an international education for 340 students from 38 countries with 33 different native languages and plans to expand to 650 students.

The school campus is centrally located within the Frankfurt city limits and contains a modern, three-wing school building with 27 classrooms, a multimedia center/IT room, a school library and special early morning and afternoon care rooms. Across from the large playground there are further functional rooms, the school kitchen and lunch room facilities that seat 340 children.

Classes are small and are taught by native English speaking teachers with a child-centered, inquiry-based pedagogy based on the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). The Middle School Curriculum for students aged 11 to 16 (grades 6-10) is based on the internationally recognized Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme. There is early morning care starting at 8:00 am and an extensive after-school program, as well as afternoon care until 5:30 pm.

Tuition for the full-day preschool program is 330 euros a month, and for the primary school 816 euros a month. Parents are also required to pay a one-time, interest-free 4,100 euro loan to the school, to be paid back upon the child's departure from the school or after three years.
