The Rhein-Main International Montessori School (RIMS) is a full-day school that was launched in August 2004. For children starting at three years of age, RIMS offers classes in the Children's House (Montessori kindergarten) through to high school (grade 12), culminating in the German high school diploma/university entrance exam (Abitur) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. The Rhein-Main International Montessori School has grown to include over 330 students and a full-time staff of more than 60 teachers, administration and management associates. Located in Friedrichsdorf in Taunus, RIMS follows the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and German state curricula and offers bilingual instruction (English/German). The school is run by RIMS e.V., a non-profit organization, and tuition is approximately 6,000 euros per year, with a one-time 2,000 euro registration fee.
