The Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim (DHBW) offers dual study programs, a unique educational model based on the conditions and requirements of businesses and employers. For the past 40 years, the DHBW has created a close connection between theory and practice, between academic studies and work experience in partner companies.
DHBW offers 38 different courses of study in both business and technical areas. The bachelor and master degree programs are focused on business administration, , information technology, business and information communication technology, media and engineering. The program rotates on three month intervals - three months at the partner company and three months at the university. This integrated approach has proven to be very successful; between 80-90% of the students receive a permanent job at the partner company upon graduation. With a current enrollment of 6,200 students and 1,900 partner companies, the DHBW Mannheim is one of the largest dual study programs in Germany.
