The Metropolitan International School is a private international school, which offers a full-day program to children ages two and older. MIS offers a curriculum based on the Cambridge International Curriculum (trilingual Kindergarten, Secondary 1 & 2, IGCSE, International A-Level) which is tailored to the needs of international families. MIS prepares students for both international and German exams at graduation. The teachers are qualified native English, German and Spanish speakers. The teaching and learning concept of MIS includes small classes and courses to match students' individual levels of development. MIS offers a structured daily schedule with courses in sciences, languages and mathematics, as well as music, art, sports and extracurricular activities. Each student receives instruction in German and a cultural overview. Promotion of intercultural competence, tolerance and understanding is an important aspect of MIS. The school offers a wide range of afternoon activities, including basketball, aikido, tennis, ice hockey and soccer, as well as math, literature and debate clubs. MIS is located in Viernheim, in the center of the Rhine-Neckar Region and is close to the major cities of Mannheim, Heidelberg and Darmstadt.

Our Featured Event

The 2018 Newcomers Festival will be held on Sunday 9 Sept. from 1-6 pm at Frankfurt’s City Hall (Römer). This annual event attracts over 4,000 international visitors, up to 60 exhibitors (companies, clubs, organizations).
