The ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss was founded in 2003 by the County of Neuss, the City of Neuss, the Chamber of Commerce of the Central Lower Rhine region and several multinational companies. ISR is a private school offering a full-day program to students from Kindergarten (age 3) through Grade 12.

The state-of-the-art campus incorporates all the facilities needed to meet the high-quality service standards followed in a typical SABIS® school: advanced science and computer laboratories, music and practice rooms, art rooms, a library, a cafeteria, a triple-court sports hall, classrooms, multi-purpose rooms for intensive language and math courses, a separate kindergarten area, and playgrounds. ISR is a member of the SABIS® School Network, which operates 61 schools in 15 countries serving over 47,000 students. Through the SABIS Student Life Organization® at ISR, students realize the importance of being active contributors to their school and community.

ISR offers its students the following routes to national and international universities: the ISR High School Diploma (Grade 12), the US Advanced Placement (AP) Exams (Grade 12 or Grade 13), and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

ISR is an accredited member of NCA (North Central Association of Colleges and Schools CASI Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement) and CITA (the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation). Additionally, ISR is a regular member of the worldwide Council of International Schools (CIS) and a full member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS). Finally, ISR is an official Cambridge International Examination (CIE) Centre and an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.
