Frankfurt's Glockenspieler

Every Wednesday at 12 noon, the bells of the St. Nikolai Church (Alte Nikolaikirche) ring out over Frankfurt's historic city center. You might think this is done automatically, but the music is actually played by Yuko Tajima from Japan. She is a trained carilloneurin or Glockenspieler, who has lived in Frankfurt for 10 years and volunteers to play once a week.
